Call for Papers

EM³I 2027 invites original research contributions across the three pillars of the conference: Emerging Materials, Measurement Technologies, and Machine Intelligence.

Submission deadline extended to 30 September 2026 (23:59 IST) — this is a hard deadline; no further extensions will be granted.

Invitation to Authors

We invite authors from academia, research institutions, and industry to submit original, unpublished research papers to EM³I 2027. The conference welcomes both theoretical contributions and applied, experimental work that advances understanding at the intersection of materials science, instrumentation, and intelligent systems.

All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by members of the Technical Programme Committee. Accepted papers that are presented at the conference will be submitted to IEEE Xplore Digital Library for publication (ISBN 979-8-3195-2232-0, Record #70555), subject to compliance with IEEE formatting and quality requirements.

Papers must be original and must not be simultaneously submitted to or published in any other conference, journal, or workshop. Plagiarism and self-plagiarism checks are applied to all submissions.

Submission Process

Register or sign in at cmt3.research.microsoft.com. Use an institutional email where possible.

Find the conference at cmt3.research.microsoft.com/EMMMI2027 and click Create New Submission.

Fill in the title, abstract (max. 300 words), author list (with affiliations and email addresses), and select your primary track.

Upload your IEEE-formatted PDF (max. 10 MB). You may revise your submission any time before the deadline.

Review decisions will be issued on a rolling basis between 15 September and 10 November 2026. If accepted, camera-ready instructions will be provided via CMT. Step-by-step help is on the Camera-Ready Instructions page.

At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference. Papers accepted but not presented will not be forwarded to IEEE Xplore.

IEEE enforces a strict No-Show policy. Non-presented papers may be excluded from the proceedings and will not appear in IEEE Xplore, in accordance with IEEE policy.

EM³I 2027 will be conducted in hybrid mode, with both in-person and virtual (online) participation available to authors and attendees. Authors presenting virtually must still present live during their assigned session to satisfy the requirement above.
